Nuts death toll climbs to 1,857

Nuts deaths in India have risen to 1.857 as of Thursday, the latest toll from the World Health Organisation (WHO) which recorded 1,825 deaths.

The toll has reached the highest level in three years and shows the scale of the devastation caused by the deadly coronavirus outbreak, which is spreading through the country.

The World Health Organization said it was unable to provide exact figures for the toll, but said the number of confirmed cases had reached 5,858, and deaths had risen to 8,569.
