Raisin nuts are packed with protein, fiber and vitamins, and they’re the perfect nut for the Holidays.
Here are five quick tips to get started.
Cut your nut pieces in half to make your nut batter.
Use a mandolin to cut your nuts into 1/2-inch slices.
Melt the butter and nuts in a small saucepan.
Add the water to melt the butter.
When the water is bubbling, add the raisins and cook for 5 to 10 minutes.
Heat the remaining 1/4 cup of the water in a skillet over medium heat.
Add a tablespoon of honey and sauté for 3 minutes.
When it starts to bubble, add in the raisin mixture.
Add another tablespoon of water.
Continue to cook for another 3 minutes, stirring constantly, until the mixture is completely smooth.
Mix the mixture until smooth.
Pour it into your lined baking pan and bake at 375 degrees for about 30 minutes.
If you’re impatient, you can let it cool for an hour.
Remove the pan from the oven and let cool for about 10 minutes before serving. Enjoy!
